My favorite were her orange and pink Gerbera Daisies, I would mix them with Shasta Daisies and give the bouquet to my grandma once I was finished. When I had knee surgery in high school Angie picked all her orange Gerbera Daisies for me and the gift also included Micron Pens and a sketchbook. I sketched those daisies for days. This week I managed to sprain my knee (the same knee I had surgery on) so I have been laid up all week. I decided to pull out my Micron Pens and start sketching. Once I sketched the daisy I brought it into Photoshop and practiced my digital painting. I am extremely pleased with how it turned out and expect to see a lot more pen and ink drawing style digis in the future.

Lovely image! Thanks for sharing it and the story of your neighbor. We lived next door to a lady who had lovely flowers when I was growing up and still remember walking through her gardens!
